Shawna Roath is a Licensed Esthetician, Certified Laser Technician. She obtained a Bachelors Degree in Management Human Resources from Park College and a Master's Degree in Management and Leadership, from Webster University.  She has worked over 20 years in Human Resources and 5 years of that time was spent working in a leadership role. Human Resources is a love of Shawna's because it has allowed her to help many people achieve their goals. Her desire to help hundreds of individuals in her years in Human Resources has been fruitful.

Shawna has had many issues with her own skin due to sensitive skin, hyperpigmentation, acne and hormonal issues.  Dealing with these issues led her to learning about the skin.  As her knowledge increased she decided to formalize her training at the Academy of Aesthetic Arts, located in Shawnee Kansas and received her certification in Aesthetics and became licensed in 2006. 

The combination of her deep care to assist people that was developed in Human resources for nearly two decades and her passion for skincare, led Shawna to create Alymar Skincare Studio in 2007.  The business was started with the goal of educating and helping others with skin care issues. To support these goals, Shawna has furthered her education and training to enhance her abilities to assist others.  This education and training not only includes Esthetics licensing, but also certifications by attending the National Laser Institute (NLI) in Scottsdale Arizona.  NLI training certification included a Certified Laser Technician and Certified Laser Safety Marshal, which is a highly coveted certification.

Shawna is married with two daughters, enjoys traveling,spending time with family and friends and learning/researching skin care products and new treatments.
